It was 12 years ago today, when at the time, the deadliest mass shooting in the United States occurred. taking 32 lives away and injuring 23. It was April 16th, 2007, the Virginia Tech campus was peaceful, until a gunshot sounded, followed by more. The shooter, Seung-Hui Cho, an undergraduate student, shot 49 campus students with two semi-automatic pistols. The police and SWAT of Blacksburg, VA stormed Norris Hall and found Cho dead at the sight. Today marks the 12th anniversary of the most horrific school shooting in American history. 32 dead and 23 wounded. It was the day after the shooting that the students of Kecoughtan High came together and created a moving tribute to the people who lost their lives and those who escaped with theirs with a banner with two messages that keyed state, as well as national attention, “We are ALL Hokies.” and “Stay Strong Virginia.” If this is how the students of Kecoughtan honored these victims back in 2007, how will the students now and forever honor these lives cut short. #vtweremember If you want to research the story some more here’s the link to the WIkipedia page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Tech_shooting
