Hit and Run Incident

Caitlyn Munyon

On Friday night October 25th, one of the brightest young minds in the Hampton roads area passed away in a hit and run at the intersection of Todds Lane and Whealton Road.

Lizmaris Caba was walking to the local church with her mother when, what is said to be, a utility van hit both of them. The crash killed the 15-year-old girl instantly and left her mother with physical and mental wounds. Lizmaris was an amazing friend and student at Bethel High School. Many of her friends and family members are in great mourning because of her sudden death.

According to News 3, the police force is still looking for the drivers that caused this, and if you have any information, do not hesitate to call 1-888-LOCK-U-UP to help the police with their investigation.

Along with this, her family has set up a GoFundMe page for the funeral expenses. The funeral is said to take place on November 2nd at 10 AM in Faith Church of God located on 1115 Todds Lane. Please come and support the family and friends that lost someone dear to them.

Rest in peace, Lizmaris. Although you’re gone, you will never be forgotten, my friend.
