When They Last Met.

Call me nostalgic, but I want to go back to last year, where the Kecoughtan Warriors came into Darling Stadium as the favorites to win, that was happening a lot during the 2018 season, the Warriors maintained a 4-game winning streak. Some of the teams that fell to the Warriors last year, however didn’t fall this year were, the Bethel Bruins, Hampton Crabbers, and Gloucester Dukes.

The Phoebus Phantoms beat the Warriors in both seasons. However it was a tightly contested battle. The Warriors would then beat the Patriots 41-8, through the high-powered offense led by first string QB, Johnathan Melvin who threw for over 200 yards during that game and the unbreakable defense which recorded 10 sacks, 38 tackles, 4 interceptions, with 2 forced fumbles.

The Warriors would go on to beat the Warwick Raiders, Menchville Monarchs, and even go to the VHSL Playoffs where they were shut out 39-0 by Nansemond River. Fast forward to this year where, into the middle of the season, Kecoughtan has yet to claim its first win, and their appearance in the playoffs in doubt.
